Contract analysis

Contract analysis that starts with the questions that matter

Aletura turns an uploaded agreement into a structured review of what you receive, what you pay, what you must do, which risks you carry and how you can leave. It performs predefined contract checks automatically and supports important factual findings with evidence from the document.

What is contract analysis?

Contract analysis is the process of identifying and organizing the terms that shape a real agreement. A useful review goes beyond summarizing paragraphs: it connects purpose, parties, money, timelines, obligations, powers, liability and exit rights.

Aletura uses four universal layers—WHAT, MONEY & COMMITMENT, RISK and EXIT—together with the relevant specialist framework, kill questions and scenarios. Unknown or low-confidence document types receive universal and General Unknown checks.

What does a contract analyzer check?

The deal

Who the parties are, what is being supplied, which documents form the agreement and whether important definitions or references are unclear.

Money

Prices, fees, deposits, payment timing, indexation, variable charges, penalties and maximum or open-ended exposure.

Time and obligations

Start dates, duration, renewal, deadlines, notice periods and the duties, dependencies and acceptance conditions assigned to each party.

Risk and exit

Liability, indemnities, warranties, unilateral powers, missing protections, termination rights, exit costs and post-termination duties.

From contract scanning to source-backed findings

Contract scanning begins with full local extraction of accepted readable content. Aletura maps the document, privacy-masks detected identifiers and retrieves bounded evidence for each planned question rather than sending the complete file as one uncontrolled prompt.

Evidence identifiers are validated against known source segments. A finding that depends on unavailable material is kept distinct from a term that is genuinely absent, and a ‘not found in the agreement’ conclusion requires document-wide absence validation.

Canonical facts

Objective facts such as price, term or notice period are extracted once and reused across checks, calculations and reports.

Every check stays available

The summary prioritizes key issues while the All checks view retains every defined question and its explicit state.

What automated contract review cannot decide

Aletura can identify wording, commitments, asymmetries and missing information. It does not automatically establish whether a clause is enforceable, whether mandatory law overrides it, how a court would interpret it or which legal strategy you should pursue.

Use the findings to understand the document, prepare questions and identify where advice may be valuable. A materially contradictory or failed analysis is marked INCOMPLETE rather than presented as a finished review.

Structured review before follow-up chat

The primary analysis does not wait for you to invent the right prompt. It runs defined universal and specialist checks first. Follow-up questions then use only validated findings in the returned AnalysisResult and cannot reread or override the original contract.

Contract types

English, German, French, Italian and Romanian are configured report-language and benchmark targets. Their current certification status is not yet validated. Other detected languages use English output where processing is technically possible and are also not yet validated. Evidence stays in its original source language.

How it works

How Aletura's contract analysis works

Start with the important terms, then check the source passages and the questions that still need an answer.

  1. 1

    Start with a contract

For this prototype, open the fictional example. Public private-document uploads and live analysis are disabled.

  2. 2

    Understand the important points

Explore costs, responsibilities and dates in everyday language, with the original passages and visible uncertainty.

  3. 3

Know what to clarify before signing

Find specific questions about missing information. Aletura provides information, not professional legal advice.

Privacy architecture

Private by design, with precise limits

Guest use requires no account and creates no saved analysis. Signed-in users may explicitly save an encrypted masked result or, where policy permits, separately choose to retain the original contract with it. Unmasked extracted text and temporary identifier mappings are never saved.

Personal identifiers are privacy-masked locally before Mistral calls. Aletura defaults to Mistral EU regional inference, but the active deployment must be verified and a regional endpoint alone does not establish unconditional end-to-end EU residency or compliance.

Structured information, not legal advice

Aletura helps you understand contractual text and identify terms that deserve attention. It does not decide enforceability, determine which mandatory law applies or recommend a legal strategy.

Report languages

English, German, French, Italian and Romanian are configured report-language and benchmark targets. Their current certification status is not yet validated. Other detected languages use English output where processing is technically possible and are also not yet validated. Evidence stays in its original source language.

Frequently asked questions

What is a contract analyzer?

A contract analyzer reviews an agreement against predefined questions and organizes findings about commitments, costs, risks, rights and exit terms.

What does Aletura look for in a contract?

Aletura checks purpose, parties, duration, money, obligations, liability, unilateral powers, termination, missing provisions and referenced documents.

How is Aletura different from a PDF chatbot?

Aletura performs structured checks automatically. Follow-up questions come after analysis and operate only on validated findings in the returned result.

Can Aletura identify renewal and cancellation deadlines?

It checks for renewal, notice and termination terms and links findings to evidence. Incomplete checks remain unresolved rather than being treated as safe.

Can Aletura compare contracts?

Yes. It compares 2–3 documents after checking compatibility. Full clause-level comparison is reserved for likely versions or agreements of the same type.

Which contract types can Aletura analyse?

Configured frameworks cover rental, leasing, purchase, services, memberships, SaaS, employment, confidentiality, financing and insurance, with universal checks for uncertain types.

Does Aletura store my contract?

Guest contracts and analysis reports are not saved. Signed-in users explicitly choose whether to save only the encrypted masked result or, where permitted, retain the original contract with it. Unmasked extracted text and temporary identifier mappings are never saved.

Which languages does Aletura support?

EN, DE, FR, IT and RO are configured report-language and benchmark targets but are not yet validated by a complete benchmark. Source evidence is not translated.

Can I ask questions after the analysis?

Yes. You may ask up to five successfully processed follow-up questions. Answers use the validated result, not the original contract.

Does Aletura replace a lawyer?

No. Aletura provides structured information and highlights questions, but it does not determine enforceability or provide legal advice.
