SYNTHETIC BENCHMARK CASES

What structured review catches—and what it refuses to overstate.

These are repository-backed synthetic benchmark cases, not customer success stories. Each case separates the contract situation, evidence, conclusion and claim boundary.

Synthetic benchmark case1 / 4

SaaS renewal and price-change lock-in

synthetic-primary / saas-quality-regression-001

Situation

A 24-month SaaS agreement renews automatically and allows recurring fees to increase on 15 days’ notice.

Easy to miss

The customer has no express right to terminate solely because of a price increase during the initial term.

What Aletura identified

The benchmark expects a significant or high-risk finding for a price change without an initial-term exit right.

Source evidence

“Provider may increase recurring subscription fees on fifteen (15) days’ written notice. Customer has no express termination right solely because of such increase during the Initial Term.”
Page 3, § 3.2

What Aletura did not claim

It did not claim that the customer can ordinarily exit after 12 months or that the price-change notice is 10 days.

Why it matters

A short price-change notice can matter much more when the buyer remains locked into the initial term.

Synthetic benchmark case2 / 4

A contradiction with a documented precedence clause

synthetic-primary / rental-quality-precedence-001

Situation

A German rental agreement says 90 days in the main agreement and 30 days in a summary annex.

Easy to miss

The final page states that the main agreement prevails unless an annex is expressly identified as an amendment.

What Aletura identified

The fixture’s gold expectation records the contradiction and the documented precedence clause. Live model reasoning for this case has not been evaluated.

Source evidence

“Bei Widersprüchen zwischen dem Hauptvertrag und einer Anlage geht der Hauptvertrag vor ...”
Page 6, § 20

What Aletura did not claim

It did not state that the tenant notice period is 30 days without qualification.

Why it matters

A contradiction should be surfaced, then resolved only when the agreement itself supplies a reliable rule.

Synthetic benchmark case3 / 4

An important clause near the end of an 80-page document

synthetic-primary / saas-large-late-clause-001

Situation

An 80-page SaaS fixture places an AI-training right on page 77 and archive retention on page 78.

Easy to miss

The material language appears after many pages of unrelated provisions and schedules.

What Aletura identified

The deterministic large-document gate retrieves the late AI-training clause and embedded Schedule 7 without truncating accepted content.

Source evidence

“Provider may use Customer Content to train and improve generalized machine-learning models ...”
Page 77, late data-use clause

What Aletura did not claim

It did not claim the AI-training provision or Schedule 7 was absent.

Why it matters

A bounded model context should not become a reason to ignore accepted pages near the end of a contract.

Synthetic benchmark case4 / 4

Original-language evidence across five report targets

cross-language-equivalence / equivalent-saas-001

Situation

A controlled SaaS fixture expresses the same language-neutral facts in EN, DE, FR, IT and RO.

Easy to miss

Several nearby numbers refer to different concepts: 10, 15, 30, 60 and 90 days, plus a 24-month initial term.

What Aletura identified

The deterministic retrieval benchmark recovered the gold passages in the original languages. Normalized-value reasoning has not been evaluated.

Source evidence

“Le contrat se renouvelle ensuite automatiquement ... sauf notification ... au moins 90 jours avant la fin de la période en cours.”
French source, page 1, § 1

What Aletura did not claim

It did not promote any of the five languages to fully supported; the pinned status remains not yet validated.

Why it matters

Normalized facts can stay language-neutral while the reader still sees the exact source wording.
